The California Department of Insurance has issued an RFP to “provide public awareness of the low cost auto insurance program.”

Submitters are required to have at least one California office and proposing organization must have at least five years experience in public relations.

This RFP may draw a large response due to the size of the project, $1,225,250.00 and the high-profile of the current insurance commissioner, Steve Poizner, who is running for the California governor’s office.

Letters of Intent to Bid and Questions due on July 1, 2009. Bids due on July 29, 2009. Bid details are available on BidSync.
