Three PR firms with ties to Sacramento were included in O’Dwyer’s recently released list of 2008 fees for independent PR firms. Independent firms are those that are not owned or controlled by a larger holding company or other agency.
Edelman was ranked the world’s largest independent firm with worldwide fees of $449m, an increase of 13% over 2007. The Sacramento office of Edelman is led by Steve Telliano (GM), and Alison Schwartz (deputy GM).
APCO Worldwide was ranked the third largest in the world with 2008 billings of $112m, up more than 15% over the previous year. Jose Hermocillo is the lead in the local office.
Sacramento-based Perry Communications was ranked 114th, with 2008 income of $1.8m, down nearly 20% from 2007. This decline was in line with other firms of similar size. Kassy Perry has led the firm since its founding in 1996.
