The Sacramento Rivercats today announced the appointment of Brian Srabian as Vice President of Marketing. And no, not Brian Sabean, SF’s general manager.

This is big news for the Rivercats, who acquire the talent of someone who spent 14 years with the San Francisco Giants in a variety of positions.  Going from one great ballpark on the water to another is a nice move.

I’ve got to think that attendance and sponsorship is going to be quite a big focus next year as the developer/construction base has definitely shrunk in the area.
